Classes For All Ages & Skill Levels

Champion Cheer Academy offers a comprehensive range of tumbling classes designed to take athletes from their very first forward roll to advanced elite skills. Each session is led by certified coaches who prioritize safety and proper technique, ensuring students are placed in the specific level that matches their current ability. Classes focus on a combination of skill progression, conditioning, and strength training to help participants build the power and form needed for success. Whether a student is a preschooler in Tiny Tumble or an experienced athlete working on layouts and twisting, the program provides a structured environment for everyone to reach their personal goals.

Tumbling Class Levels

Tiny Tumble

Ages: 3-4
Prerequisites: None

Tiny Tumble is the perfect introduction to gymnastics and tumbling for our youngest athletes. No experience needed — just a love of movement! In this class, children will begin building foundational body awareness through fun, age-appropriate skill development.

Skills to Master: Directionality (L & R), Cartwheel w/ Side Leg Swings, Front Roll Stand-Up, Needle Kick (L & R)

Tumble A

Age: 5+
Prerequisites: None

Tumble A is the perfect starting point for anyone ready to dive into the world of floor gymnastics with no prior experience required. This class focuses on building a solid foundation of strength and coordination while introducing essential movements like rolls, handstands, and basic body positions. In a supportive and high-energy environment, participants gain the confidence and technical skills needed to progress toward more advanced levels, making it an ideal entry point for movers looking to discover their athletic potential.

Tumble B

Age: 5+
Prerequisites: All Tumble A skills

Tumble B is a specialized skill-building class designed for athletes ready to bridge the gap between foundational movements and more dynamic floor gymnastics. This level focuses on developing the body awareness and core strength necessary for smooth transitions, such as perfecting bridge-based skills and mastering controlled body positions. In a focused and high-energy environment, participants work through targeted drills that emphasize technical precision and fluid motion, helping them gain the confidence and coordination needed to move toward more advanced tumbling sequences.

Skills To Master: CW from Passe  (dominant leg), Back roll to F.Support (fingers in), P.Hurdle to HS flat back, Half Back-Bend (wall)

Tumbling 1A

Age: 5+
Prerequisites: All Tumble B skills

Tumble 1A is where athletes truly start to experience the excitement of dynamic power and inverted motion. This class is designed for movers ready to transition from basic shapes into the high-energy mechanics of explosive tumbling. We focus on developing the leg drive and upper-body stability necessary to master impressive skills like bridge kickovers and the foundational power of a round-off. In an environment that prioritizes technical precision and athletic confidence, participants learn to link movements together with speed and control, setting the stage for more advanced flipping and connected sequences.

Tumble 1B

Age: 6+
Prerequisites: All Tumble 1A skills

Tumble 1B is an exciting step for athletes ready to transition from foundational movements into the world of connected power. This class focuses on building the core strength and coordination needed to master fluid combinations, like linking walkovers and mastering the mechanics of a Valdez. In a high-energy environment, participants refine their momentum and body control, learning to execute multi-step sequences with technical precision. It is the perfect level for movers looking to bridge the gap between individual skills and the explosive speed required for advanced tumbling.

Skills To Master: CW > BWO, FWO > CW, Valdez, Even / Odd Step RO Rebound

Tumble 2A

Age: 6+
Prerequisites: All Tumble 1B skills

Tumble 2A is where athletes combine their strength with the thrill of connected power and fluid motion. This class focuses on mastering vertical control and explosive energy, moving from assisted handstands to confident, independent holds. Athletes will take their skills to the next level by learning to link movements into impressive sequences, including back handspring triples and creative combinations that blend walkovers with handsprings. It is the perfect environment for movers to build the technical precision and athletic confidence needed to execute smooth, high-energy routines with ease.

 

Skills To Master: P.Hurdle RO to Superman/Arch, Rebound BHS (T.Track), FHS > Arch Rebound, 4-step stBHS (Boulder)

Tumble 2B

Age: 6+
Prerequisites: All Tumble 2A skills

Tumble 2A is where athletes combine their strength with the thrill of connected power and fluid motion. This class focuses on mastering vertical control and explosive energy, moving from assisted handstands to confident, independent holds. Athletes will take their skills to the next level by learning to link movements into impressive sequences, including back handspring triples and creative combinations that blend walkovers with handsprings. It is the perfect environment for movers to build the technical precision and athletic confidence needed to execute smooth, high-energy routines with ease.

Skills To Master: Standing BHS rebound, P.Hurdle ROBHS rebound, FHS > Dive Roll, 2stp Punch Front Tuck

Tumble 3A

Age: 7+ (exceptions apply)
Prerequisites: All Tumble 2B skills

Tumble 3A is designed for athletes ready to transition into elite-level power and flight. This class shifts the focus toward mastering the control and height necessary for twisting and flipping transitions. Athletes work on building the explosive speed required for multiple back handspring series and the technical precision for tucks and front-to-back combinations. It’s an high-energy environment perfect for movers who want to refine their air awareness and develop the momentum needed for advanced, high-impact tumbling routines.

Tumble 3B

Age: 7+ (exceptions apply)
Prerequisites: All Tumble 3A skills

Tumble 3B is where athletes take to the sky, transitioning from powerful ground skills to elite-level aerial maneuvers. This class is all about mastering air awareness and high-velocity momentum. We focus on the precision and courage needed for impressive skills like running aerials and mastering the transition from back handsprings into full back tucks. In this high-energy, fast-paced environment, participants learn to connect multiple high-impact skills into seamless, gravity-defying sequences that are ready for the big stage.

Skills To Master: Running Aerial (2stp) , ROBHS > BT, FHS > FT, PS stBHS x 3 > Rebound

Age: 8+ (exceptions apply)
Prerequisites: All Tumble 3B skills

Tumble 4 is where athletes defy gravity by mastering the art of the back tuck. This class is designed for those ready to move beyond handsprings and into the world of elite flipping. We focus on developing the vertical height and core power necessary to execute standing back tucks and powerful round-off back handspring layouts. In a high-energy environment built on technical mastery, participants learn to maintain perfect body lines while rotating through the air, giving them the confidence to perform advanced, high-level sequences with ease.

Tumble 5

Age: 8+ (exceptions apply)
Prerequisites: All Tumble 4 skills

This class is designed to push the boundaries of air awareness and body control, focusing on the power and precision needed for impressive maneuvers like back layout fulls. In an advanced, fast-paced environment, participants refine their momentum to connect complex sequences, including front-to-back layout transitions and whip-to-handspring combinations. It is the perfect stage for dedicated athletes looking to master gravity-defying skills and develop the professional-level technique required for the highest tiers of tumbling.

Tumble 6

Age: 8+ (exceptions apply)
Prerequisites: All Tumble 5 skills

Tumble 6 is the pinnacle of our tumbling program, where elite athletes master the most advanced twisting and flipping skills in the sport. This class focuses on high-level air awareness and the extreme power required for gravity-defying maneuvers like standing fulls and double-twisting layouts. Athletes refine their ability to maintain perfect technique through complex, high-velocity sequences including Arabians and whip-to-layout combinations. In this fast-paced, expert-level environment, we push the limits of athletic performance to help our most dedicated tumblers achieve professional-grade precision and power.
